Cosnet

COSNET is a mutual aid organization serving African families and diaspora communities across the United States and Africa. Its mission is to relieve families of the financial burden that comes with saying goodbye to a fallen loved one, providing death benefits of up to $25,000 through pooled member contributions.

Operating through affiliated associations, COSNET serves over 930 associations and approximately 12,470 members across 24+ African countries, including Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria, and Kenya. Members contribute only when a death occurs rather than paying monthly premiums, making it an accessible way to support bereaved families, strengthen diaspora community connections, and honor loved ones according to family traditions.
